The David Koresh story was posted to illustrate the unflagging nature of a belief system for those invested. 30 years after losing her husband and children the mother continues to regard Koresh as prophet/messiah.
Objectively asking how other people with other faiths can believe things so contrary to logic and reason we learn about human nature and a too common weakness we have for confirmation bias and special pleading.

These tales themselves illustrate the power of narrative and imagination. A whole world was created, millions have poured over the writings unable to decide whether to condemn or praise the author.

I'm not an advocate. I think that Sai Baba is a fraud and the witnesses to his 'miracles' are deluded. And yet there are thousands of those witnesses within living memory.
That ought to give you pause before trusting the veracity of ancient miracles.
