Scully above totally nailed it and said about what I was going to say. The "Org" is run by imperfect men, but YOU as a rank-n-file are expected to be perfect, under threat of direct punishment in the form of reprove, privileges revokes, disfellowshipping, and shunning, and eventually eternal death. So much for forgiveness, aye?

Either god is directing you or you're a fallible human who opened your big fat mouth and put your foot in it. Can't have it both ways.

When an active JW realizes the true impact of that statement, you've witnessed the "first nail in the coffin" for that active JW. The next thing you will hear will be the sounds of "dominoes" falling. . . . . Doc

If you could ask any JW:

Are the unanimous GB decisions made on Wednesday mornings perfect?

What percentage of them are correct?

How much higher is the percentage than pure opinion and guesswork?

How could anyone ever tell the difference?

JW: The Watchtower Society is Jehovah's channel of communication.

Householder: But they have made a lot of mistakes and changed a lot of doctrines.

JW: Every channel needs fine tuning.

Householder: Fine. When they're sure they have Jehovah's messages down right, come on back and I'll listen to you. Until then, keep tuning.

I have a family member who uses this ALL THE TIME!

"All Jehovah has is imperfect people." This is pretty much verbatim.

Either god is directing you or you're a fallible human who opened your big fat mouth and put your foot in it. Can't have it both ways. Sorry, but you just can't

Its amazing how individual witnesses can compartmentalize and not even realize they are trying have it both ways. Well I guess not really since it's practically a prerequisite for being a witness.

What did god do when the Israelites started offering their sons and daughters to false gods, at the direction of the priests supposedly appointed by god? Didn't he abandon them? Didn't he tell honest-hearted people to stop listening to these false leaders?

I would love to have a biblical example to share, even though it will surely be disregarded.

Does anybody know where to find this account?

Very familiar with this line. Uttered by my father after cursing or hitting his children. Sorry, he'd say, I'm not perfect. I therefore don't have to be accountable for my actions or exercise self control. Bullshit

"We are imperfect" to me translates to they have no authority over me. If they attempt to overstep any boundaries, my lawyer and the police will be contacted.

We are imperfect - Perhaps it would be interesting to turn it around: rather than us being imperfect, there's no such thing as perfection.

    It's ideological nonsense.

The WTS's tainted commercialization of the Gospel was a perfect fraud that exploited many . Part of that fraud was when they proclaimed that god had chosen them and that they were being guided toward proper scripture interpretation and understanding.

    As Scully pointed out ...

So the GB is "made up of imperfect men" when they print what turns out to be erroneous material in publications that impact the lives of JWs everywhere. When they lie to their followers, in other words. Where is the Judicial Committee™ holding them to account?

God would never chosen false " Commercialized " prophets running their own publishing house, but the GB heads demand strict loyalty and subservience by all of humanity.

If all of the GB remember and past presidents of this organization were to be brought into a JC by god on grounds of disloyalty and apostasy, they would all be cast out for being false pretentious teachers, who gave themselves power and worthiness rather than god and respect to his word.

To me, its clearly just an excuse to escape accountability. JW's can do whatever they want and throw that excuse out there and you're wrong if you question it! smh
