I was most relieved you were okay; the fact that tornados passed so close to you proves I wasn't being just a nervous Nellie! We want you to come to Oz, but being blown here from Kansas in your house by a tornado is probably not the best way to go about it; you'll probably land on a witch, and who knows what sort of trouble will be the result!

(((((Robyn))))))) I thought of you and pr_capone yesterday when I heard the news and then we had our own tornado warning last night. Funnel clouds never touched down near us , though.

Glad everyone else is okay, too. (Robyn and Eric were the only ones I realized were in the KC area.)

    Warmly,

I'm so glad you're all okay! We get tornados up here in the Detroit area too! As Brenda said, last night we had our own tornado warnings. Where I live we just got the northern tip of the storms, thankfully. When I was 16 we had a tornado go through our neighborhood. It was very scary!! I almost got hit by a window fan as it flew out of the window. We had our awning ripped off and the awning supports, that were sunk 6 inches into cement, were in our back yard. You have to respect that kind of power! ~Aztec

Who you calling a witch, heh? Not me I hope!

I use to be one but not any-more. But, the kids still think I look like one...

I hope all are safe and well too.

I am lucky to live in a valley area, so we get few Tornados. Hate those things.

Glad to hear everyone is AOK. I was watching the news and wondered just who may be near the storms. Apparently one storn lasted for half an hour and covered some sixty miles! I haven't been in one of those storms since the mid-fifties in Boston. Worcester Mass. got hit the worse at the time. Nature has some awesome force. Once again, glad to hear everyone is fine.

Glad to hear you guys from Kansas are OK,

In NE we had the cloud rotation, sirens go off and some parts of the city got the baseball size hail. It got like night out with an erie green look to the sky.

We had a tornado touchdown at about 1230am abot 15 miles east of our home. It was touch and go for about an hour. I'll be glad when this storm system goes away. The streets are getting flooded.

I'm so glad most everyone is all right and didn't suffer too much loss!! I started a thread under current affairs about this subject, wondering what was up. I hadn't seen this post till Joy2bfree let me know.

It is something that many on here really didn't get the full brunt of them. That is wonderful news. I think someone is watching out for us, don't you?
