Exactly cofty. You wanna be an idiot and kill yourself, fine. But I don't want you taking me out or my loved ones, or any innocent party, for that matter. To be texting on your cell phone, while driving, is to just not give a shit about anyones life. So many different opinions about talking on your cell while driving, but we'd all be safer if everyone focused on their driving and left the phone calls until they were home, using a chainsaw or meat slicer, or curling iron...

take them out of the breeding pool.
T-boned a car in 1950 with my motorcycle. because of the situation shown in post # 29. had my hands firmly on the handlebars though.

For decades ,drivers managed without needing a phone in their hand,now no one can be without it. It should be banned. I don't understand what is so important that it can't wait,until you get to your destination.

Most smartphones connect to the vehicle via Bluetooth and/or USB and can be controlled via buttons on the steering wheel without taking your eyes off of the road
There's really no reason to be distracted and it's only the knuckle-heads who are.
Distracted driving (For any reason) should be strongly prosecuted.

Totally agree Cofty . There can be nothing that is soo important to talk or text to someone about that it is worth risking your own or ,more importantly , someone else's life .
