    Rob,

    Just go out and enjoy your date. Just take each step at a time, don't fuss too much over "what did that mean?", "what will he think if I?" etc etc. He'll probably be just as nervous as you (and may not show it) so enjoy the evening, and see how things go.

    As for kissing on the first date, it depends on you. If you're not sure, give him a peck on the cheek when you say goodnight. At least doing that, you'll get close enough to see if he smells good or not!
