Sorry I forgot to update when I was there.

The only things I want to talk about is how they would tell young ones to tell every body in school that their a jw.I hate when this happens THIS WILL NOT GO WELL FOR ALL.They had one random video about some kid,the kid said the teacher would make fun of him,BUT one day the teacher let him talk about being a jw (This parts BS)then some random teachers and the Principal walked in FOR NO REASON,and he got to talk about to most of the school WTF.

I hate the fact they tell kids to tell every body their a jw once again THIS WILL NOT GO WELL FOR ALL.

Oh and the other video where the girl felt like she HAD to tell the class that evolution is wrong. Now I don't have to deal with this because I'm a atheist, but fact is now they are saying kids have to stand up him class to tell them something and if you don't YOU'RE WEAK.

I Feel bad for people that don't like talking to lots of people, man now people with anxiety not doing anything will be feeling guilty for not saying something sad just sad.

It really is setting children up to be ostracized if not mocked. I was raised in a faith which encouraged me to do much the same, and it always went badly.

As a school kid I was victimised and beaten by ridiculing students because I was taken out of Religious Education classes - as directed by the cult at that time.

Imagine my dismay when I heard many years later that JW kids were now allowed to participate in Religious Studies.

Clearly, the teachings I received couldn't counter all the "false" teachings of that time.

Well said akid48. The whole point of getting kids to talk about it at school and adults to talk about it at work is to get them alienated from other people as soon as possible. It's a cult ploy so that you have to find a support group within the cult and you can never leave because you've frightened all your friends away. Good thread.

I was ashamed of being a jdub. I hated not saying the pledge of allegiance. Being in school sucked because I was forced to be a misfit who didn't fit in, hence my name, Biahi, it stands for Born In! Always Hated It.

Another year, another convention. Same Old Shit, Different Day! The life of a typical jw.

The one thing that I have really noticed is the lack of buzz after the conventions lately. I'm sure it's because there is no "new light" or new publications 'released at the convention. It's a completely different religion than the one I grew up in and then out grew!

    just saying!

For the Gb at the same time worldly people including your teachers and classmates are:

part of Satan's system and have Satan's mind and are "against" us (literally, they said that in the final talk)

    they are also:

very educated people who will stop a biology class to let a student talk about particular beliefs, ask you about the kingdom, respect you because you stood for your belifs...

It just can't be both. Either wordly people are bad and the JW should not try to evangelize them by word because obviously they won't listen and will attack the JW, or they are good and so there's no problem to spend time with them after school, work or having meals with them.

    @Biahi

Man I started to do the pledge of allegiance.

Yup doing all of the jw acts in school would take you out of any friend group for me at least.

It's difficult to believe that the Governing Body doesn't know that they're sending children out to alienate and humiliate themselves, and at some level it certainly feels deliberate. I see intentionality in the fact that the Governing Body acknowledges that children may face bullying at school for their beliefs; that is, they are not ignorant of the potential if not probable results of Jehovah's Witness children outing themselves.
