Sorcery = Pharmakeia

    Hello everyone, I think that pharmakeia does have a connection with the current pharmaceutical industry.

    Witches have always used substances to alter people's minds and their own.

    In fact, to put themselves in a trance and communicate with demons through spiritualism, some resort to drugs and concentration on a certain frequency.

    Why do certain drugs and concentration allow them to communicate with demons?

    I think that to facilitate the entry of demons into the mind, it is necessary, in some way, to alter natural barriers that we have in our brain.

    The fact that they are making us absorb metals and chemicals continuously, added to the terrible electromagnetic contamination and clear intentions to modify our DNA does not bode well.

    Perhaps the devil's plan is to weaken people's minds to facilitate demonic influence in the near future.

    I do not believe that the angel who releases the locusts from the abyss is Jesus Christ or that the locusts are good. We may be on the verge of a total demonic invasion of humanity.

    Hallucinogens have always been a key element of religion. Especially shamanism. Stories of shamans divining the future though visions and psychedelic imagery and casting bones or stones and conjuring animals like flies, snakes and frogs were a staple of ancient near East. Usually these are accompanied with burning "incense" and holy oils. Think about it.

    It's interesting that the tobacco smoking ban was linked to "pharmakeia". I never thought of that one. Nevertheless, the biblical case for forbidding smoking has always been weak.

    I note that the WT allows marijuana these days*. I suppose they don't want to get into that fight with the authorities. Another case of the government tail wagging the WT dog? 🐶 🤔

    * With strings attached, of course.

    I think the 1970's ban on smoking was more of a reverse logic. Previously JWs had been allowed to smoke, but it was kind of discouraged. Not allowed in service, etc. Generally in the world, the cancer causing part of smoking was becoming more known by 1970 and the JW leadership thought (I believe) "What reason can we come up with to get the JWs to quit smoking? Oh yeah, it has a drug in it, which links it to pharmakeia, which in turn links it to spiritism!" Presto, smoking is banned and JW smokers either quit in 6 months or are disfellowshipped. Problem solved!

    The linguistic link between matters "spiritual" i.e "pharmakeia"" and Sorcery as P.P. points out is no surprise, but what the G.B & Co ignore, or perhaps do not know, is that the Israelites and later the Jews, right down until Roman Occupation times at least, and maybe until 70 C.E ??? burned Cannabis on the Altar at Temples dedicated to the worship of YHWH/Jehovah.

    This was done so that the worshippers would have a spiritual experience which they would feel came from the presence of Yahweh.

    So can we expect this sometime soon in a G.B, letter ? :

    " After careful study, and prayerful consideration of the matter, in the light of Jehovah's evident approval of this practice, the Holy Spirit has guided us to decide that the smoking of cannabis is permitted by you dear brothers, as long as this is done at a time of Worship".
