  travelers head to the future based on the advice of a medium who speaks to one well known cult founder, in order to confirm his story.

  after setting their coordinates they enter a wormhole,
  because of a change in destination caused by possession of one medium who alters these at the last minute

  unaware of this change the travelers arrive and realize they traveled backwards in time.
  cult founder explains he wanted to speak to them personally to give them the chance of everlasting life and place his 'latest' copies of his magazines

  having realized they have been duped the travelers agree that the man is a loon, and decide among themselves to rid the future of this scum. . .

  thus altering and ridding the future of the WT
