"I just don't see it," Christie told CNN's Jamie Gangel in an interview Tuesday, adding later,

Here's the key moment in Trump’s speech:

My parents impressed on me the values: that you work hard for what you want in life. That your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise. That you treat people with respect. They taught me to show the values and morals in my daily life. That is the lesson that I continue to pass along to our son.

And we need to pass those lessons on to the many generations to follow. [Cheering] Because we want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.

And here's a similar passage from Obama’s speech in 2008:

And Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values: that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say you're going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect, even if you don't know them, and even if you don't agree with them.

And Barack and I set out to build lives guided by these values, and pass them on to the next generation. Because we want our children — and all children in this nation — to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.

    Trump plagiarized Obama's speech.

    What a devious crook.

There is nothing really original or meaningful in either one. They are typical political speeches: a string of trite platitudes, phrases that only Scrooge would disagree with.

"Let's hear it for Motherhood! Apple Pie! Baseball!"

It shows how meaningless the party conventions have become: the outcomes are already known, so they look hard for something, anything, new to say about these quadrennial non-events.

LOL! It's so funny to watch and so sad, too. I actually feel sorry for her. You know she didn't write a word of that herself. I'm sure she is horribly embarrassed! But for heaven's sake, just admit it! They are embarrassing themselves even more by denying it!

Did Melania use a few sentences that were similar to Michelle Obama’s speech? Sure, but that is common. ALL First Lady speeches resonate the same universal concepts.

The fact is, you can go back and look at Laura Bush’s speech, Nancy Reagan, and even Hillary when she was first lady and find the same type of comments.

In a speech Hillary Clinton gave in 2014 for the New American foundation. Hillary spoke of the same values saying,

” my mother and father gave us a middle-class life with opportunities she never could have imagined for herself but which she always believed could be possible for her children. And that was a great gift that I will be forever grateful for, and then Bill and I of course worked hard to pass on those values to our daughter.”

(In other words, passing on values to the next generation, like Michelle Obama said in 2008.)

Laura Bush said in her 2004 RNC speech,

“If you’re determined and you want to work hard, you can do anything you want to. That’s the beautiful thing about America.”

(The same concept of Michelle Obama’s speech in 2008.)

Even Ann Romney’s speech hit the same notes in 2012

“Mitt will be the first to tell you that he is the most fortunate man in the world. He had two loving parents who gave him strong values and taught him the value of work.”

Hillary is actually the biggest offender when it comes to plagiarism, she plagiarized Bernie Sanders so often that the hashtag #StealTheBernwas born.

Obama plagiarized Bush nearly word for word in 2014, but the liberal media didn’t seem to have a problem with that.

Every 4 years, a first lady, or potential first lady, stands on stage at their convention and talks about the same subjects: upbringing, values and family.

In fact, 90% of what we hear this week will probably be rehashed and resaid at the DNC. They’ll just spin it around to be all about race, class warfare, illegal immigrants and insulting police, of course.

Not the first politician to plagiarize.

Let's see: Melania is a model from Rumania, English is not her first language, and she's married to Donald Trump. That right there tells me how far up her /\ss her head is. Leave alone having depth of though enough to write any speech. It was plagiarized, though I don't think that it was her idea. She's just a puppet.

I do believe that not only it was plagiarized, but that it was purposely plagiarized. Will her speech be in the media at all if it didn't create any controversy? Will her husband be anywhere without controversy? Of course, not. Trump's entire platform is about this kind of things, so why not Melania's speech?

Melania gave a speech containing 1,379 words.

The snippet from Michelle's 2008 speech contains 121 words.

How'd Melania do with the 1,258 words that Michelle did not utter?

Who remembers ANYTHING from the rest of Michelle's speech in 2008?

The English language is said to have more than 1,025,000 words in it. Unless a person is a practitioner of Holy-Rollin' glossolalia, chances are pretty good that the next words out of your mouth will have been spoken by someone else before you.

This is a tempest in a teapot.

Ahh, yes - the hypocrisy. Our magnanimous Vice President copied an exact speech - Obama used someone from yesteryear --- switch the channel to get the drama of all these politicians. It's been done ad nauseum by others.

    Jus sayin.
