What was the very first picture they published in their literature depicting 'paradise' does anyone know?
Paradise Lost..1958 - I was brought up on this one:
(The guy in the first picture looks like Br. Benson.)
In the 1930s Watchtower booklets sometimes illustrated paradise as their artists pictured it. Here are two examples:
From His Works, 1934:
The image shows a pastoral society with the shepherd viewing post Armageddon remains. A bit gruesome.
This is from Home and Happiness, 1932:
Image shows a nice home - 1930s style of course - with a discarded cannon used as a bird's nest.
Why dont they just use an air plane as a plant holder?
Or a tank as a mobile home?
Apparently, in 1958 men at an outdoor gathering could wear T shirts and shorts or go around shirtless with a towel around their waist.
Decades later they wear nothing but button down shirts and chinos like they are visiting Bethel, even the little boys! Who, prey tell, does all that washing and ironing??
Found this one a bit creepy. Anyone know which publication it's from??
