As someone said at an ex-jw convention several years ago, alcohol is a safety valve for JWs. It helps them cope with all of the problems of being a JW. What will happen to that organization if the JWs get serious about controlling alcohol abuse? I think that could be the worse thing they have ever done to harm the WT.
