If those “taking the lead” in the organization are directed by holy spirit, but not inspired--how are they distinguishable from other organizations led by imperfect men who are not directed by holy spirit? It ends up looking very much the same.
In fact, a full examination of JW history will reveal exactly what one would expect from a religious organization led by imperfect men with zero divine guidance.
The Holy Spirit can't communicate to someone without it being revelation, and revelation has to be perfect and infallible. But the Governing Body can't have it both ways. They can't be led by the Holy Spirit and have it be anything but inspired.
If they don't have the Holy Spirit, then they are blind guides leading the blind.
The GB men (Executive Directors) of the WTS were always inspired to make money and exploit people with devious ploys and corruption. $$$
Yes if you engage in a lot of wishful thinking then you can "have your cake and eat it too" be directed by God and their run his Earthly Organization and when things go wrong you can always chalk it up to being mildly and ever so slightly pushed by Jehovah's spirit but the push wasn't hard enough and so you didn't let him lead you in his infinitely delicate way because you got your signals cross and took a right when it should of been a left.
So by not claiming direct inspiration by God one can claim to be God's Organization but not under strict control of the Deity's direct unmistakable influence just some gentle proding and so everybody's got to be odediance to any rule they make.

The terms "directed by Holy Spirit" and "inspired" EVIDENTLY and CLEARLY do not have "overlapping" meanings!

I've asked this question many times.
The response usually revolves around the the fact that even though the GB is not inspired, they receive direction by following the inspired word of God.
This is a twisted kind of circular reasoning. They are essentially saying that their interpretation of the holy scriptures is accurate because they are directed by the holy scriptures in the first place.
Can you be directed by HS and at the same time be a raving lunatic....
The GB is neither directed by holy spirit or inspired. If they are inspired at all to be anything - it's to be self important assholes
