i wonder if the Queen will now abdicate and let Charles have his turn.
The Queen will be 95 in couple of weeks, in good shape for her age I might add.
Its her choice of course but I think she will not abdicate , that she will let the throne be turned over to Charles upon her death.
I see her as that kind of woman
The Associated Press and other news agencies have already negatively talked about the Prince’s off colored remarks that he was known for. The man fought for peace. Give him the dignity he deserved.
“In the event that I am reincarnated, I would like to return as a deadly virus, to contribute something to solving overpopulation.” - Prince Phillip 1988
Someone asked " Does the Lizard Person that lived inside him live on ?" , what do you guys think ??
From all accounts he was a gentleman, given his birth and being manor born.
Queen E may outlive Charles, he looks like hell, and maybe knows something of him so will not abdicate. He is close in age so we " grew up" together, though he had more privilege
We will see if Meghan and Archy attend the funeral. That will be a controversy either way.
The Associated Press and other news agencies have already negatively talked about the Prince’s off colored remarks that he was known for - yes, you've also got keyboard warriors calling him a racist … when the guy risked life and limb in WW2 fighting actual racists, the Nazis.
Philip was a naval man fighting Germans and Italians in the Mediterranean.
The D.O.E was a man of his time and upbringing and life experience. I think people of much younger generations totally misunderstand his jokes and remarks, to call him a Racist is silly, he is a Royal, and all people who are not Royals are naturally thought of by them as being different.
But few if any of his remarks seem to me to be malicious, they are not the usual racist tropes, and he didn't preclude anyone from the benefit of his humour. He enjoyed letting a little of the real Phillip show at times, we who have been JW's know what it is like to have to pretend, to always say the right thing, and nothing even slightly risqué or whatever, we should sympathise with the fella, he had hard role in life.
I've seen accounts of people who were present at some of these "incidents" and they were blown up into something they weren't by the media and the marxists anti-monarchists in them that wanted opportunities to pull the royals down.
Everyone should know by now that the last thing you should expect from the media are facts and honesty.
