    Hello all,

Since I have no one else to talk to about what I am going through, I just thought I would let this group know that i have

Crisis of Conscience coming to my front door today. I already know what I will say if my wife says something. It's time that as a person I stand up for what I believe and not be shammed , demonized, or ridiculed for what is my changing belief system. I have the right to read what I want, I have the right to change my world views, I have the right to investigate anything and everything on the WT that has stolen decades from my life. We are never taught to stand up for what we believe, but cave to the WT and give our minds away in an exercise of intellectual dishonesty. I will not do it anymore ! I have posted other posts, and it helps me. I am feeling stronger and stronger. I just believe how as "sheep" we are not taught to ever trust our own reasoning and thought process, this is not love, this is not kindness, this is not caring. Its emotionally and mentally abusive.

    Peace

Good for you, fog! I can't even have it delivered to my own home because my wife would gladly have me stoned to death at the city gates!

If she can read her Watchtower rag, you can read your Crisis of Conscience.

You might want to start with something more subtle, like something about cults and their characteristics. "Combating Cult Mind Control" would do nicely.

Good for you Fognomore one thing you'll find out by reading that book that the WTS in any honest way could not be the FDSL , the leaders of the WTS took that identity for themselves to validate their activity and their own literature proliferation.

By Jesus's description and identification the WTS could not be the FDSL because they went against his instructions for preaching the new Kingdom to come.

The WTS was and still is a sinning commercialized false Prophet.

I find it reassuring that even though Raymond Franz has passed (God bless his soul)...he still very much has an impact on this cult...and will for years & years to come.

    Viva La Franz!👍🤣

It was a life changing read for me and many of us on here, you’re in for a gripping read and quite an education. I’m planning to read it again and take notes.

CoC & it's follow-up ISoCF were two of the most absorbing books I've ever read. It hits your head AND your heart, couldn't put it down!

Hello Fognomore and Welcome to 'Crisis of Conscience'!!!

I watched a Mike and Kim youtube video last March when they announced the release of 'Crisis of Conscience', I ordered my copy just a couple days after and received within 2 weeks.

Reading 'Crisis of Conscience' was a ''clincher'' to my doubts about the Borg that something was seriously ''effed-up'' about the Borg. Agreed, I just could not put it down.

'Crisis of Conscience' opened the floodgates of exJW books and books critical of cults and similar cults alike.

    Here goes, a list that I have read since the release and completion of reading 'Crisis of Conscience' last spring;

'Captives of a Concept' by Don Cameron

'Jehovahs' Witnesses and the Third Reich by M. James Penton

'Apocalypse Delayed' by M. James Penton

'The Gentile Times Reconsidered' by Carl Olaf Johnson

'Out of the Cocoon' by Brenda Lee

'Awakening a Jehovah's Witness' by Diane Wilson

'Thirty Years a Watchtower Slave' by W. J. Schnell

'Exiting the Jehovah's Witness Cult' by Bonnie Zieman

'Jehovah's Witnesses Answered verse by verse' by David A. Reed

'Documented Facts the Jehovah's Witnesses do not Want You to Know' by Christina R. Darlington

'Freedom of Mind' by Steven Hassan

'Combatting Cult Mind Control' by Steven Hassan

    'Trouble Maker' by Leah Remini

'Emotional Blackmail' by Susan Forward Ph. D

    and

'Feeling Good' by David D. Burns M.D.

That's what I have read since completing 'Crisis of Conscience'. The list will keep getting longer, and longer and longer......

    Enjoy 'Crisis of Conscience'!!!!!!

CoC is a long and tedious read. It follows the pattern of all wt speakers never use one word if you can use 50.. BUT it is revealing, very revealing as to how the wt mind works and the mans experiences..

I recommend "The Gentile Times Reconsidered" by Jonsson. This is every bit as revealing as to how the wt treats/reacts to anyone who dares to question the 'party-line'.

    ....happy reading..

I read C.O.C. while I was still a JW and it didn`t wake me up ,I just thought maybe R.F. was a disgruntled relative of Fred Franz and maybe a little bit jealous he wasn`t given the same recognition .

After leaving I read Don Cameron`s "Captive Of A Concept" which I highly value in exposing the JW religion for the fraud that it is.
