That's one unfortunate thing about this particular cult is that it enforces a relationship with the organization itself and unquestioning devotion to it, belittling all other human relationships including family or marriage spouses.
The damaging and regretful result is the eventual breakup of those relationships, instigating some to even commit suicide out of despair.
Lies and corruption are there to lure people into the organization as well to sustain the membership once they are there, with acts of shunning toward ones who show a lack of unrelenting subservience.
Its a game of power within a game of corruption, which inevitability provokes a damaging plight for humanity as a progressive result.
