  The regional convention program was posted yesterday to JW Stream and thanks to a local elder who has absolutely no clue about my involvement in the ex-JW community I managed to get a link to the recordings. I uploaded the files to this MyAirBridge link: https://mab.to/t/26oWwQXP4Nz/eu1

  Blondie my friend...the question still remains. Why? Of course, anyone is free to watch anything they wish but why would recovering and former JWs want to expose themselves to hours of manipulative propaganda. It's just not healthy. It's full of emotional triggers and subtle distortions of fact. My advice to anyone, is not to needlessly put yourself through it.

  Is there no sense of nostalgia that some former JWs might channel? Of course, I'd imagine that there'd be more triggered by this stuff than those who might smile fondly at a positive memory of such gatherings. So, to each his own, I guess.

  Edited to add: I myself, even though I've not so much as attended a meeting in a Kingdom Hall, find these meetings and other broadcasts by the WT to be too heavy going and oppressive to actually sit through. But I was never born and raised in that particular briar patch.

  Maybe because you are the one that is labeling it manipulative propaganda and not everyone who views it.

  When I first was awakened to TTATT I wanted to keep a finger on the pulse of WT so as to stay informed as many (most/all) of our friends/family were still active JWs. Gradually (over the course of years) I finally came to the point of not giving a fruck. But it was a slow process.

  The greatest revenge is living a happy & successful life!

  I certainly understand Doc's reasoning/point of view, but I'm dying to know what my still-in very close relatives are seeing now. If you had asked me ten years ago, I would have told you that they'd be awake by now. I am just baffled at how they could still be in and I want to know what it's like on the inside.
