From the perspective how these leaders such as J Rutherford concocted alluring doctrines that intentionally supported the distribution and proliferation of the publications the WTS made yes.

That still puts him and those that followed him in the category of disingenuous crooked businessman or con man.

"Are the G.B. members really good business people?"

    That's my question.

No, they're not. As other posters have pointed out the organization had a 'brand' of religion throughout the 20th century thst 'sold' pretty well, 8 million members is nothing to scoff at. But that brand has become stale: they now rely on the children of existing members to keep existing as an organization, and yet they offer nothing to kids or teenagers, for instance, in the way of youth groups that would keep them interested and connected and coming back. They also ask 'young ones' (their very term for non-adults sounds like they still think they're in the 1950s) to make all kinds of sacrifices at school as far as a social life and sexuality go. So about 2/3rds of children leave by adulthood, and really, who can blame them even just on non-religious grounds?

Does the Governing Body do anything about that? Not really, they put out 2 minute Caleb and Sophia cartoons that are either creepy (Sparlock, dying for not paying attention at meetings), set kids up for embarrassment and isolation (telling classmates that their mothers (pl.) won't get into paradise, like that's gonna go over well), or the same old message kids hear at the hall every week (preach, dress up, obey the Governing Body, give the Governing Body your ice cream money).

The Governing Body is going down with their own ship.

The Governing Body just inherited a corporation with money and lots of assets, but it does not make them good business people.

Heck, I'm just a kid and I inherited a nice nest egg, but it doesn't mean I'm a smart business person. I'm going to school to try to learn how to keep my inheritance and it's hard work learning the pitfalls and understanding how to invest and not lose what you have.

The G/B are men that never went to business school and learn economic principles. They have no idea what drives demand and how it's affected by supply. It's possible some were even home-schooled just so they could pioneer.

They can't even understand basic concepts like what a generation is. They believe that this period is the worse in all history contrary to the evidence. They believe and teach blood fractions is NOT BLOOD.

More than likely other groups of people are running the corporation like lawyers and educated financial people. But child abuse lawsuits is an unexpected blow that they never imagined would happen, yet they must deal with it. It's new territory for them since the previous governing bodies never had to deal with this problem.

The only way they know how to deal with this is by lying to their customers -Jws- that the child abuse lawsuits are all lies, and BEGGING for money. That's about as much business acumen that they can muster, BEG AND LIE.

Their product (the last days) is becoming obsolete very quickly. The faithful old customers are dying off and the new customers (7 year old baptized child) will only hang around until the critical reasoning skills kick in. (like me)

    Good business people- NO.

Idiots who inherited a Corporation with assets - YES.

Their literature producing empire of JW organization was equipped to print significantly more than 8 plus million copies - that's very small numbers compared to their heyday when books were printed in their tens - and occasionally 100's of millions.

The old, now deleted blue "bombshell" The Truth that Leads to Eternal Life (1968) had a total printing number well north of 150 million. That is eye-poppingly massive for an organization that sought a "donation" for each copy placed.

The number-crunchers in the organization would have seen the writing on the wall for magazine and book sales and strongly advised the GB to cut back before the empire crumbled. Many a book producer has gone to the wall because they refused to keep up with the nose-dive plummeting sales of printed literature.

The GB has a winfall of $2 billion from the sale of the Brooklyn Heights property - which has nothing to do with their business expertise. How they manage this, time will tell.

Which reminds me of an old joke. How do you make a million dollars? Start with a billion.

"They believe and teach blood fractions is NOT BLOOD."

That is correct, blood fractions is not blood. Neither should plasma be as that is the stuff that blood rides on.

Do you have anything remotely to indicate that this is the case?? Which ‘Wall Street creditors’ are you thinking of !

Let it be clearly understood that there are people within the organization that are clever at drawing money out people’s pockets and holding on for real estate value.

A lilttle bit of lying and half truths has been a intergal part of this orgazation for a long time now,
