Interesting stuff. The guy that I interviewed reached out to his grandmother for me and I'm going to try to interview her. We'll see how it goes.

Yes, the early JWs did have schisms and splinter groups but this was very nicely hidden for a long time!..When I was ‘studying’ nobody ever told me about this. They even remained silent about the 1975 fiasco. If I had heard about this I might have thought twice about everything.
Now, nothing is hidden with the internet.

Russel had dedicated followers in the thousands but he was a just novice bible theologian who sold his acquired theology through books and magazines.
People who could read back then were no doubtably attracted to Jesus returning and a new earthly kingdom established.
Goes to show how one can interpret the bible many ways and come up with your unique doctrines.
The reality of the whole affair is that he was a false prophet (apostate) charlatan and a religion spawned out of his endeavors called the Jehovah's Witnesses.
