"God always had an organization"...you know Adam and Eve were an organization...Noah and his sons were an organization.etc
"Make the Truth your own"...by deep research of Watchtower publications only.
"Who else is obeying Jehovah's command to preach the gospel around the world"....albeit a false gospel which does not save 8.5 million adherents.
My mom always said "you're going to get destroyed"
Vanderhoven7,
Good points, but instead of "deep research of Watchtower publications only," I'd say, "Make the truth your own" means "accept without question what the WT teaches now and don't let it cross your mind that they ever taught anything else."
Vanderhoven: "God always had an organization".
Which was God's organisation the year before Russell began preaching? 🤔
my granddad told this one. The was a sister whose last name was Payne. She sat in the back of the hall and raised her hand to answer a question. The WT conductor called on her to answer the question: Sister Payne in the rear.
"Jehovah is a loving god" (while believing he's going to kill 9 billion people, the overwhelming majority never even hearing of him).
One hall had a Sister Tarte in it.
She answered up and the old forgetful elder taking her hand said 'Sister Slag, let's hear your answer please..'
RonW, I sincerely hope that that anecdote is one of those JW urban legends! 😱
