  And with regards to the idea that science might someday discover a way to make a person live forever, it ain't gonna happen and I'll tell you the reason why. What Adam & Eve needed in order to keep living without ever dying was to be able to periodically eat fruit from the Tree of Life, which is precisely the reason why God would not allow them to reenter the Garden. The fruit of the Tree of Life LITERALLY contained the nutrients that our bodies need in order to ward off the aging process. Adam & Eve were allowed to partake from the fruitage of this tree for as long as they were obedient to God's command. It was only the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Bad (TKGB) that they were not to eat. Did the fruit of the TKGB contain nutrients that would give them knowledge? No! Some people have mistakenly thought that if the fruit from the one tree literally affected Adam & Eve's longevity then the fruitage from the other tree should likewise have a literal affect (i.e. make them know what is good and what is bad). But there is no rule that requires that they both be either literal or figurative. What was meant is that when they ate the fruit from the TKGB they took to themselves the right to determine what was good and what was bad. The Creator is who has the right to say what is good and what is bad, what is okay and what is not okay. The Creator said that it was not okay to eat fruitage from the TKGB, and Eve then Adam decided for themselves that it was okay instead. But not long thereafter their consciences began to hurt and they hid from God. The fact that their consciences hurt shows that they weren't incorrigible. There remains hope for anyone who is not incorrigible. Something else that shows Adam & Eve were not incorrigibly bad was the fact that they taught Cain & Able to make sacrifices to God. That speaks well of them, and it gives good reason to believe that they will be resurrected. The only ones who won't be allowed to live forever will be those who prove to be incorrigibly bad. The Bible makes it clear who some of those are, namely Satan and the angels that made the decision to follow him. They are in line to suffer eternal destruction. God will snuff out their lives and they will never be seen again. It's certainly the height of stupidity to trade the opportunity to live forever for what amounts to a temporary lifespan while having it your way. Satan and his demon followers are real beings, and that is what they have done.

  So what you're actually saying is that you prefer that animals remain ferocious, and you are rather fond of thistles, thorns, and storms that blow houses away and kill people.

  You're either a troll OR you've got to be out of your mind. Its not normal to beg for pain and discomfort.

  If I could speak in jook's place. Everything being tame sounds lame and insipid. I doubt that anybody wants to be attacked by either a real animal or a person with beastly aspects. But knowing that danger is around the corner is why people climb mountains, set out across oceans and attempt flight.

  Seeing how quickly a ferocious animal can dispatch his prey is a sobering and humbling thing. Besides, a carnivorous animal causes death to another. It's part of how God made things, right? He wants us to have some fear and respect for His powerful creation, and for Him, if he exists.

  It is sickening, not "sobering and humbling," to see a ferocious animal attack its prey. (You obviously have little respect for animal life.) And, no, God did NOT design animals to be "carnivorous". After Adam rebelled everything went downhill, the animal kingdom, the weather, etc.--you name it, it all suffered and is still suffering. If Adam had remained in the Garden, by now the entire earth would have a stable atmosphere. Due to there being an abundance of shade trees everywhere a constant cool temperature would prevail, thus preventing hurricanes, cyclones and the like. Also the animals would have remained peaceful with one another.

  And you say, "If he [God] exists". If he doesn't exist then how do you explain the nose you have there between your eyes? Also, how do you explain the fact that you have 10 fingers and 10 toes? How do you explain the fact that you have a heart pumping inside your chest that never rests? And so many other things about the body that are too numerous to mention?

  An atheist is nothing but a poor sap that refuses to see the reality of things. Evidence that God exists is literally everywhere, so much so that there is absolutely no excuse for not recognizing him.

  SWAT, I just prefer to see Mother Nature take its natural course, you me and a pack of wild horses cant change that nor will it ever change, there is something quite beautiful,sobering, powerful seeing an Apex predator, stalk,prepare and execute its plan when its comes to feeding time, your angry evil bloodthirsty perverted voyeuristic Hebrew god of the OT would have devised other tests that Adam would have failed, plus he had issues with angels that rebelled that she/he didn't address properly, he/she likes to use the "blame game" you know, never admits to screwing up which he/she has done numerous times
