G.B of JW`s trusting in Jehovah ? or Trusting in Men When It Comes To A Crunch !

  Jehovah`s witnesses have taken it upon themselves that they have been chosen by God to be his witnesses in what they believe to be the last days ,the time of the end spoken of by the prophets of old.

  They are on record as stating in their publications that it is their calling and duty to preach this message of announcing Jehovah`s Kingdom loud and clear publicly and from house to house even when under ban.

  Which they have done on many occasions in the past putting their trust in Jehovah .

  Taking to heart Acts ch.5 : 17- 32 which states in a nutshell ," We must obey God as ruler rather than men "

  They are also on record that the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one Satan the Devil to mislead all mankind.

  This includes all Governments ,Religious Leaders ,Economic, and Social Systems ,they have even stated that the United Nations was a counterfeit kingdom in opposition to the kingdom of god for the benefit of mankind.

  So what do we see today ? True , we have a pandemic with this Covid-19 virus that is wreaking havoc in the worlds health systems causing death to many people on a scale not seen since the Spanish Flu pandemic a century ago.

  Now I`m just speaking from a Jehovah`s Witness mindset here,to put there money where their mouth is

  .The United nations World health Organization and the directions of Governments from around the world and remember Jehovah`s Witnesses believe they are all in the power of Satan the devil have effectively shut down most JW meaningful activity .

  No public witnessing from house to house

  No meetings to take place with human contact

  No Circuit Assembly`s

  No conventions either national or international

  No Baptisms

  No public talks for any interested ones

  Have I missed anything ?

  And most of all they are no longer Witnesses of Jehovah in the world because they have been silenced by Satan ,the God of this system of things.

  (and covid-19 ) of course.

  In other words they have not put their trust in Jehovah to protect them in this pandemic and still carry out his will to preach this good news of Jehovah`s kingdom as they believe it ,rather they have lost faith in Jehovah to protect them and have now put their trust in men to protect them through this pandemic and have put Jehovah`s will on the back-burner .

  In this case wouldn't they say they are following the authorities orders/laws? jw's are law abiding blah, blah, blah....

  If the government tried to ban them outright, they’d resist but this is a matter of health and safety much like not attending meeting if a snow storm or hurricane were on the way.

  They are doing phone calls and letter writing and virtual meetings instead.

  If they went ahead with their meetings and preaching as usual despite the pandemic, we’d be criticizing them for being irresponsible. Sometimes it seems they’re damned if they do, damned if they don’t.

  The world headquarters of jw's is in the USA as we all know! The GB will no doubt obey US governmental orders strictly as a matter of self preservation. Shut down the head(quarters) here in the USA and the body worldwide will die. Don't think that the GB will give up their cushy life style for some of their silly religious "principles" that can be miraculously changed with 'new light' in an instant!

  The Bible account of the ten plague's it's says he protected his people from any harm even if it upset the authorities and people of that time so his name would be known and he was all powerful.And Moses and Aaron lead his people in obedience to God's direction.

  So why not today?

  There's a more powerful narcissistic bully in charge in the USA than the bullys in Warwick.

  If the governing body in any way told JWs to disregard the instructions to everyone , and keep the meeting and ministry going and then spread the virus and JWs died and spread the virus.

  That JWs no longer have god's protection and blessings.

  Face prosecution from the civil authorities and cost them millions of dollars and when the child abuse cases go to court they have shown that they coercive there members.

  It would not have stopped Russell,Rutherford and Knorr and Franz they would have just sent the sheep to the slaughter.

  They really don't have a choice this time.

  Even if their "faith" (misguided or not) led them to carry on and minister to others at a time like this, authorities be damned as they answer a higher calling........

  they cant.

  Why?

  Because they are under so much scrutiny for child abuse cases that they just can't afford the publicity. They cant defy anything else right now because they are guilty of that one big thing already.

  Another reason might be now that org has commandeered ownership of all the Kingdom Halls, there could be liability issues if someone traced a covid outbreak to that as a source. They don't want to be stuck paying for anyone's long term care.

  It's similar to how they won't let the K H s be used for hurricane or tornado shelters - although some states are now regulating that as well.

  JW's will tell you that this is because the Israelites were the chosen people God directly had dealings with and he directly brought the plagues upon Egypt as a punishment for not letting the Israelites go. They'll tell you that today's situation and others to come (wars, difficult weather patterns plagues etc) , are as a result of mans own actions such as greed, improper sanitation, overcrowding, polluting the earth, ruining the environment etc. They'll tell you that Jehovah knew that this would be the eventual outcome of mankind being led by Satan, JW's acknowledge that they too will be effected by these things and must do their part to protect themselves.

  I understand that people on this forum have been adversely effected by the JW organization (I have too) but it seems like there are those who will fault them for EVERYTHING they do. If they don't meet together, they're accused of not trusting Jehovah....if they did meet together they'd be seen as delusional fools who are being irresponsible or only concerned about making sure they keep the donations coming in.

  If the government tried to ban JW's outright, they'd surely resist (as they've done in other lands) . What's taking place today is not preventing them from worshiping. It's a temporary situation and they aren't being singled out.
