The JWs at the Kingdom Halls can ask visitors (the public) to show their vaccination card
That's a great way to lose half of your potential converts which is already shrinking.

Yes neat blue dog, it could cause them to loose considerable potential new converts, but they might do it anyway (due to their controlling nature) and tell them it is done to insure the safety of all attendees.
Waton
It is very convenient from home. Going back is a lot of work and getting used to.
Can you imagine the sinking feeling in your stomach even if you still thought of yourself as a JW?
Going back to the office can be bad enough, but having to go in person and sit through those meetings. I can only imaging how soul destroying it will be.
Imagine the kids who have escaped it for the last 2 years suddenly being dragged back to a KH?
And the crazy thing is that all people have to do to stop subjecting their family to that torture is to simply stop going.

Aww I really feel sorry for them. But especially the kids and PiMOs

In the half dozen or so KH`s I belonged to in my 32 years as a JW you could count the "visitors" / public on one hand without doubling up on a finger.
I can envision a lot of youths / pre-teens ,teenagers rebelling about going back to meetings after all this time.
My wife only made about half the meetings in the pre covid days. During zoom she made pretty much every meeting. I wonder how going back will affect her attendance.
PISTOLPETE:
I was reading posts on Reddit about it.
A lot of ‘Faders’ and PIMOs aren’t happy about it..In fact, some PIMIs aren’t going to be happy either. A lot of people just don’t want to get dressed up and drag themselves to a place where I don’t think too many liked being in the first place. How many people gained weight and maybe don’t fit into suits or ‘dressy’ type outfits? How many like the idea of shelling out more money for gas nowadays to go to a Kingdom Hall that is further away since they sold off the nearest one?
In my opinion, the religion ‘needs’ to do this because they have to see with their own eyes a headcount of just HOW many Witnesses will return!!..Two years is a long time and Faders and fence-sitters probably would say ‘screw it’ and couldn’t stomach it.
I think the only people glad the halls will be open are the elderly (because meetings are their social life). The other ones I bet would be Users and ‘needy’/types who never wanted to work. (It helps to be in person to corner people for money and favors!)..The halls being closed two years must have cramped their style and forced them to get creative!
Even though I’m Glad I’m no longer in this religion, it will be interesting to hear how this all goes!

They don't come much older than me and Sister England but socialising in a sealed room with no windows and a pathetic air handling system is not an attractive pastime for us! In my area people are still dying of Covid and we have no desire to join that group.
Of course it all depends on approval from the Branch Office but I suppose they will just kowtow to HQ, they are are "yes men" just like the congregation elders.
