Finkelstein - ..."So the laws and social standards created by the ancient Hebrews to which the JWs try to emulate are wrong and inadequate? Shocking, how can this be?"

    Bingo.

Of course, there's probably dozens of different ways one can "interpret" Biblical scriptures in a way that actually does real, demonstrable good in addressing the pedo problem...

...but I suspect that doing so (among other things) would have had a cumulatively crippling effect on the Org's more mundane, "real-world" ability to properly function, in addition to the aforementioned doubt cast on its claims of exclusivity.

    The irony....

Child abuse.... the law and it's courts are not appropriate, so as to protect Jehovah's name from tarnish.

Hefty financial punishments for not protecting children........ worthy of a court case, no matter how it looks.

Unfortunately this must have two witnesses to the act or a self admission, is the very rule of conduct of guilt certain child sexual predators exploit.

That and they think they can manipulate the child mentally so that they dont talk.

Hiding behind a white sheet of righteousness is the game and sometimes innocent unassuming children are victimized.

As usual, this organization suffers from a profound lack of commonsense.

    Welcome onboard Chosenxxone.

Commonsence is not the borgs strongest point, it is better known for appointing low IQ yes men to positions of oversite.

More egregiously, the Organization exploits it...

...by using it as a pretext to avoid/hinder involving "worldy" authorities.
