My cousin's girlfriend moved from another state and is now living in our home. They said she lived in a bad situation, but I don't believe them. My cousin lies. What should I do?

She is not JW and they are allowed to sleep together. I don't understand why my mom, grandmother and aunt are allowing this to happen.

    What should I do?

Not sure it’s any of your business. Therefore I think you should mind your own business.

    Your answer is not helpful.

I was taught that a JW is not allowed to date a non-JW. Plus, premarital sex is a sin. They have their own bedroom and are having sex. I live in the same house with them. I'm doing the right thing if I ignore it? If I ignore what is happening, am I not responsible and sinning? I'm worried and you did not help.

You were taught a lot of stuff by a cult. Mind your own damn business. From the sound of it, it's not your house so you don't have a say in the matter.

You know who else lies? The governing body. Visit jwfacts.com and if you care about truth and lies bother you I think you're about to learn a whole lot of things.

RunAwayDaughter - "I was taught that a JW is not allowed to date a non-JW."

    Not quite.

    It's forbidden "discouraged"...

...meaning that they'll experience sanctions, shunning, snubs, and general socially-related unpleasantness, if they're a baptized member and they do these things, up to and including being disfellowshipped.

I'd advise against using the phrase "not allowed".

It implies that there are actual physical ways that the Org can prevent its members from doing things. IMO, the expression is more applicable to the relationship between a parent and a young child.

    Hmm.

Maybe it is more appropriate than I thought. :smirk:

That depends. Are you a loyal, dutiful JW?

If you are, then other loyal, dutiful JWs would definitely regard any noninterference (i.e. telling on them) as not the "right thing", and "sinning".

If, however, you aren't a loyal, dutiful JW, why the f**k would you care?

(BTW, I get a funny vibe like you're a teenager, yeah?)

''Do you know who else lies?'' ''It is the Governing Body''

jwfacts. com. jwstruggle.com towerwatch.com and the Cal Lehman ministries, wonderful sites, just to name a few.

What's even more disturbing is Crisis of Conscience. I have obtained my copy this week. Let me tell you, it is a real page turner!!!!!! ENGROSSING!!

I have read up to the chapter about ''Double Standards"" and the Milawi/Mexican scandal. Truly disturbing what the GB told Mexican brothers to do while the brothers in Milawi were being beaten, imprisoned even killed for refusing the ''political party card'' which only acknowledged the political regime for that country.

There is a reason why the Borg doesn't want people researching to Borg history. That's why they always ''knock'' the internet and claim it as the work of ''Satan''.

I remember hearing around 1989/90 about the Witnesses in Mexico were now allowed to use their song books, bibles and were able to open the meetings with prayer. Apparently, they could never use their bibles during meetings, service or at a$$emblies.

There was an underlying reason why bibles, songbooks were banned up until 1990. A massive smokescreen.

This organization has to be researched. There is a reason why the internet is strongly discouraged.
