Increase in Second Sealings for the Anointed?

The other day I heard my anointed roommate on the phone, discussing something called the "second sealing". I heard her say that most anointed people only receive it shortly before death, IF they receive it at all. She went on to say that she has been hearing about several other anointed people receiving theirs recently and NOT dying afterward.

As I understand it, the second sealing is supposed to be confirmation that an anointed person has proven themselves worthy and will be going to heaven for sure. My roommate sees the sudden increase in second sealings as (further) evidence that the Big A is nearly upon us.

I have never heard of the second sealing before I overheard her conversation, so my question is, what does everyone here know about it? And have you also heard anything about this lately?

JWS say things to make themselves into something special instigated by the WTS of course,, fact is its Jesus or god that is to choose the anointed, Scripture supports that.

fact is its Jesus or god that is to choose the anointed, Scripture supports that. Fs:

Rev 7 says about the sealing, done be angels for "sealing the slaves [144000] of our god --" so it must be done by angels, and unknown to humans.

A second sealing is really unnecessary, since future rulers with Christ have to die a sacrificial, martyr's death. They know when their fate is sealed.

Paul spoke of knowing that he had run his course successfully and had received witness that he was acceptable, or sealed. First sealed as belonging to Christ via HS bearing witness to his anointing. Then second as witness he had run his race faithfully and was ready to die with a clean conscience, fully acceptable for entrance into the kingdom. I no longer have the WT library after a few crashes of my PC. My version was no. 8. If you look it up its there.

    Found it on Google, lol:

However, there are two phases in the sealing of anointed ones. The initial sealing differs from the final sealing (1) in purpose and (2) in time. The sealing in an initial sense serves to select a new member who is added to the number of anointed Christians. The sealing in a final sense serves to confirm that this chosen and sealed individual has fully demonstrated his loyalty. Only then, at the final sealing, will the seal be permanently placed ‘in the forehead’ of the anointed one, identifying him conclusively as a tried and faithful ‘slave of our God.’ The sealing mentioned in Revelation chapter 7 refers to this final phase of the sealing.—Revelation 7:3.

When will the remnant of anointed Christians who have initially been sealed receive their final sealing? Any still alive on earth will be sealed “in their foreheads” before the outbreak of the great tribulation. When the four winds of tribulation are unleashed, all of spiritual Israel will have been sealed in finality, even though a few will still be alive in the flesh and must yet finish their earthly course.

All based on the erroneous WT idea, that only the 144 000 "anointed" partake when in the story the bread and wine was first and uniquely served to Earthly Hopers.

Now, more nibbling and sipping (a human activity) is supposed to mean more sealing, an angelic work.

Being that looney, just shows how puny.

I was told that back in the early 1960`s when I was studying what I thought was the Bible { instead of WT crap } as proof that the end was near.

at the final sealing, will the seal be permanently placed ‘in the forehead’ of the anointed one, identifying him conclusively as a tried and faithful ‘slave of our God.’ ( no her ?)

So unless you see evidence of this seal on the foreheads of any JW do not believe them they are wolves in sheep`s clothing or maybe even apostates .

Self-delusion not only runs in families - it gallops across the Millenia, picking up untold mad men and women along the way. The apostle Paul was perhaps one of the earliest self-deluded believers who served as a sterling model of the special type of self-absorption required of those who expect to rule with Christ in the heavens.

mark -- required of those who expect to rule with Christ in the heavens. s2, s3,

Perhaps the mark on the forehead of Rev 7 is to guide the ax of Rev 20 to the right place for true martyrdom.

An ax cut is hardly the puncture of a morphine injection needle, that is the last violation of their body that most dying partakers experience these days.

I venture to say that only a few hundert of the thousands of dead and hopefully " risen" partaker in the last century and this, violently died for the wt cause.

I agree, perhaps these people are delusional. This does not fit the Bible narrative. According to Paul, he and his fellow apostles have been anointed and sealed:

But it is God who establishes us together with you in Christ and who anointed us,
who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a down payment (2 Cor. 1:21, 22).

But it seems as though the official sealing of the 144000 will only take place during the Great Tribulation, which makes it a future occurrence. John saw a vision of a scroll with seven seals being opened.

Then I looked when the Lamb opened the sixth seal, and a huge earthquake took place; the sun became as black as sackcloth made of hair, and the full moon became blood red; and the stars in the sky fell to the earth like a fig tree dropping its unripe figs when shaken by a fierce wind. The sky was split apart like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved from its place.
Then the kings of the earth, the very important people, the generals, the rich, the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who is seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, because the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to withstand it?” (Rev. 6:12-17)

    And again:

16 They said to the mountains and to the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who is seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb,
17 because the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to withstand it?"
Revelation 7:1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth so no wind could blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree.
2 Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, who had the seal of the living God. He shouted out with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given permission to damage the earth and the sea:
3 "Do not damage the earth or the sea or the trees until we have put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God." (Rev. 6:16-7:3 NET)

The transition between aforementioned chapters of Revelation is introduced by the Greek phrase Καὶ μετὰ τοῦτο (Rev. 7:1 Tischendorf’s New Testament, 8th edition), “and after this,” “this” referring to the kings of the earth and their followers, finding refuge in their underground shelters.

Conclusion: According to Revelation the official sealing of the 144000 must still take place.
