Can't shut off the highligter* If EVERYONE took this serioulsy mabybe things would get better instead of worse. Maybe self-sensoring isn't your strong point. There is NOTHING funny about this story, the pain the child went through is horrible but the emotional toll is even more. A CHILD trusts their parents to take care of them not harm them. They are so small so trusting.

I don't know guys. None of you are as sugary sweet and loving and caring as I am, and even less so about kids. I'm actually serious about that last. But I find something sickly humorous about it all. Especially the headline, lol. I mean, it's so perverse, so outrageous, that there isn't really any great danger of it happening over and over, and it seems reasonable to think that the authorities will deal with it in a manner that protects the child from further harm.

I guess what I'm saying is, this is not a societal issue, so drawing long faces and expressing outrage will do... pretty much nothing. Especially here on this forum. No one will hear, no one will change a thing because of your outrage. The child won't read this and think "there are people who will protect me". It's like pissing in a wetsuit; it gives you a nice warm feeling but no one notices.

So, from someone who cares about kids, this one included, as much or more than you, and sees a bit of humor in the headline, I say, chill.

I agree with you totally. As a victim myself and watching my younger sister tortured till the age of 6 by my demented step-mother, these things stay with you for the rest of your life and are NO LAUGHING matter. So Hamas zip up the lip. That little girl will be tramuatized for life. I suspect this is not the first and only assault on her small body. They should take that woman and cut her fallopian tubes, put that child up for adoption. We as kids went through unimaginable horror that still resonates till this day. Child abuse is no laughing matter.

Actually I am someone who like dark humor. If I had come from a "normal" familiy I probably would be able to see what you and Six see. I wish I could. But I just can't mate.

You're right, Sheila. We do all need to worry ourselves about child abuse until children stop dying.

Nothing funny at all about this story. I guess I just don't understand the way some minds work :(
