So I was listing to the news and in the infrastructure bill there is a part that will tax you on how many miles you drive. This is above the state and federal gas tax. So now they will control and monitor your millage and tax you on it. So those who live out side the city will pay more, They also have a part to make all cars have breathalyzers to stop drunk driving. The invasion of privacy is full on 1984. Didn't they try to do this a number of year ago and the truck drivers, rural areas, farmers, etc.... make enough noise to shut it down then? I think they will try to get in in without anybody noticing due to all the other things people have to worry about today. The news should start with, "While you weren't looking....." or "While we were busy repeating the same news 24/7 we missed the following that has now become law....." or maybe, "While we all trying to find what to be offended with today we missed some important news...."

That is exactly what has slowly turned me against the left. It's the erosion of personal responsibility. The idea that the larger group has to absorb the failure of a few incompetent people.

A few people drive drunk? Well let's make EVERYBODY breath into a breathalyzer.

Too many people of one color in prison? Well let's stop arresting them and let them stay outside preying on others.

Some kids get sad from losing a game? let's give prizes to everybody for playing.

On, and on and on. Personal responsibility and accountability are gone. Now what's important is to artificially make people equal even when they are not.
