    What a night !

We were very kindly treated to a night out at an open-air concert last night by one of the posters who was up in the area (KenUK and his wife)

Amazingly, for Manchester, it was a warm and sunny evening and perfect weather to be sat at Old Trafford CC.

Wow ! We weren't sat down much ... he did a fantastic performance for 3+ hours and I was worn out just watching him.

I'd like to say a big thank-you to Ken and his wife for being so generous and hope we can meet up again soon so we can treat you to a meal or something. Maybe we will see you at the BBQ !

I'm off the get my Springsteen Live CD's out ...

    I can't believe I missed it!

We were listening to Springsteen in my car on the way home from the meal the other night...I would have loved to have seen him again.

    Oh well...maybe next time.

Kind of a weird thing to say, eh? One of the most magical music moments of my life was seeing Springsteen in a small venue; "wow, when they said 'the Bronco Bowl' I didn't realize I'd really be playing a bowling alley". He was touring w/o a band, just him and his guitars and harmonica doing songs off The Ghost of Tom Joad album.

Seeing him do "Born to Run" with a sea of waving arms and people singing along was fantastic.

I recommend seeing him if you get the chance ... definitely one of the top performers.

    Hi Simon & Angharad,

Superb time indeed - however I shall not volunteer for any Kareoke ever!

My punishment has come however - I'm now going to a concert of Lesley's choice.... Robbie Williams in Edinburgh on Saturday. Somehow i fancy that meal in Manchester a bit more!!

See you in WSM - B&B booked

    Cheers

I am GREEN with envy! I'm a huge Springsteen fan, and I've only seen him in concert once... from the nosebleed section of Madison Square Garden. I missed his tour this time around because I moved.

WAAAAH... apostates have all the fun!

    Simon -

What a wonderful experience you had! I've been following Springsteen for years. Always...ALWAYS...a helluva show. My first Springsteen concert was "The River" tour.

SixofNine...I was at the Bronco Bowl that night!! OMG!! What a small world. Y'all he was playing a bowling alley...really. Very small, initimate venue. Incredible.

Thank you for sharing your evening with us.

Arrowstar...off to find her Springsteen Born in the USA tour shirt

    I feel your pain. LOL

For some reason I can't picture you at the front of the stage screaming "I love you robbie !"

Hope you both enjoy it and have a great time.
