We have friends that have been trying to get out of Honduras for years, not only because they can't find work, but also it is a very unsafe to live there. It is the murder capital of the world, as Belize is the 3rd worst murder capital.

Illegal immigrants are more of a financial burden than an asset. The government could retaliate and strike back by stopping their food stamps and medical.

They could give this money to the small businesses to help them pay for legal workers or the gov could subsidize the salaries of legal workers to help the businesses that cannot afford to pay the minimum wages. And use the money to help Americans in general. The American well farewell is dry.

I saw something about California spending $25bn a year on illegal immigrants (compared to maintenance on the damn that wasn't done). I don't know where the figure came from or if it's correct (it was a tweet meme so who knows). But 10-15m illegal immigrants in a country must account for some expenditure at various levels (schools etc...)

Like I said 5 months ago"it's not a easy solution. I have friends who are undocumented immigrants I know their family, the kids and I would hate to see the break up of their family. I don't know the answer.........

There was a New York Times article a few days ago about farmers in California voting for Trump because he promised to cut regulations. They thought his immigration promises were just rhetoric. Now they're admitting that without the cheap labor, they'll be in big trouble, because they can't survive without the illegals.

Let them all go back to the country of the parents together and apply legally for an immigration visa there and wait. And get in line like everbody else that has applied legally and has been waiting YEARS for a visa with relatives in the US. And if the visa is denied in their country, they are out of luck like everybody else that is denied immigration visa to the US. Why have children in the US knowing that you should not be there in the first place. Like someone that commits a crime and should not go to jail to keep the family together. First get a green card, then have children.

Very easy solutions. And if labor laws were changed to favor both business and employees, you wouldnt need illegal workers.

Radio news this morning, 2/16/17 - some org calling for all immigrants to stay home from work and school to show Americans all the contributions they make that would be missed.

The report did not say ILLEGAL immigrants so it doesn't make a lot of sense.

If legal immigrants are so resentful of those here illegally, why are they supporting the movement?

Unless the idea that they "resent" them is yet another rightist fantasy.

Please check out a GQ's piece in Youtube about the time when the State of Georgia gave powers to the police to request proof of immigration for any infraction and its consequences thereafter.

They sure deported many undocumented immigrants, but what happened to their agriculture, the service industry and their overall economy was disastrous.

People blinded by their unfounded fear and hatred do not realize how much this hurts themselves. Common ignorant behavior, to act against one's own best interest.🤔
