I must say I shocked by how many here are that far left! I was surprised I wasn't more so considering how many times I have been called a pinko commie...LOL! I wonder if all the more conservative folks are just afraid to take the test.
nowisee, I think we may have a lot in common, aside from religious beliefs.
Yeah, thinking of the questions, I tended to be libertarian and middle of the road in areas such as abortion and legalisation of pot, but authoritarian and quite right wing in the area of economics.
As for being outnumbered, *raspberry* Numbers don't matter, power matters!
Expat, I was surprised by some of my responses in the economic area. I'm a tad bit more right than I thought. Maybe it's because the magic number 30 is creeping ever closer..LOL!
I just want to make the comment that the "right wing" in the area of economics is true liberalism, in the classic sense. The farther "right" you are, the more you want free trade, deregulation and a laissez-faire economy. The farther "left" you are, the more you want the government to set prices, regulate trade, give us services we don't want and otherwise put their hands into our wallets. In my research, an economy which is open and unregulated grants greater freedoms for all, as well as economic growth. Friedrich Hayek is a great read if you're intersted.
I'm cynical, so I 'strongly disagreed' with every sentiment that corporations are good guys who should be trusted to do the right thing...the thing is, I don't exactly trust everybody else to do the right thing, either, I just trust corporations even less because they have more money and resources to bend the rules and get away with it (or outright change the rules, now that BushCo is in charge). That doesn't mean I'm idealistically warm and fuzzy.
