I think the money is being hoarded somewhere in anticipation of the lean years they see coming. Once the elderly Witnesses with all the disposable income pass away it's all over as far as donations to the religion. The golden goose will be gone - forever.
They probably anticipate lawsuits and possibly changed tax status. So, I think this is about survival of themselves.

Anyway in desperation to get cash they got their hands dirty by some scheme to transfer funds illegally out of Russia to the US mother corporation? Time will tell. It should be a very interesting year of Watchtower Corporation's developments with hopefully better USA and Russia relationship, working together for the common good to end the terror of extremism by and harmful mind control of it citizens. Am I asking for too much here?
