What do you all think of this suit?

When I was 4 , my grandmother gave me a beautiful little gray suit. I loved it....

On easter, we went to a park with a playground, (I guess this is why I chose "Physical Activities" for my category for this post) and I fell. I cut my knee badly but, more important, I ruined my little gray suit. And the reward for my clumsiness was the (abusively vocal) reprimand from my parents, particularly my fahter.

To this day, I still want a gray suit to replace that which I lost.

The bid price for this new with tags item (retail $238) is currently something like $58.00

    What do you all think?

    Thanks.

I like the cut of the jacket but the skirt is a bit long for my taste.

    It looks lovely

But more important is the gift it will be to yourself to replace what was lost - a bit of self-esteem

((((((((berylblue)))))))))what were your parents thinking????....taking you to a playground, and then you did what a normal child would do... you played. Tearing the suit was not deliberate (your skinned knee was way more important) I as a parent have made my share of mistakes. I think I will pause for a second and go hug my daughter.

    ok, I'm back.

Is the suit is a replacement because you felt that you were at fault for tearing the one that your grandmother gave you? If it is a reminder of your grandmother go for it. I am with WildHorses on the skirt length, but that can be altered.

A jacket that length (which is beautiful -- I love jackets that follow the curves) should have a short skirt so it doesn't look like a refugee from the Power Suit days of the early 1980's. If you prefer a long skirt, look for a more cropped jacket.

berylblue, how could you possibly be at fault? because you did what any other child would do when taken to a playground?

Sweetie, I was ALWAYS at fault...the fat, ugly one...ironically, I realize in retrospect that I was only 15 pounds AT MOST overwight
