Sorry you're having a down day, Azzy. And I'm really sorry that I can't do anything to help you except to say that I feel ya and am thinking about you.

It's because of people like you and my sisters that I'm really protective and supportive of my daughter. Not enough people get the support they need from parents and other older family members who should be there for them. Call me sexist, but I favor little girls just a little bit over boys and give them extra support, love and attention.

Hang in there, Sis. Life gets better.

Isn't this better than hearing, "What's the matter with you? Don't you know that if you stayed busy in service and meetings and personal study and prayer and regular association, you wouldn't have time to feel selfishly sorry for yourself? Think of all the brothers in foreign lands that are REALLY down. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and start doing something nice for others. That way you won't have time to focus on just you."............Now don't you feel better to have real, caring friends here? aztec, you are one of those people that always seems so upbeat. I'm glad you can vent without anyone making a judgment.

This was such a nice thread to read that I feel better and hope Aztec does too. I came from a disfunctional family of 10 and raised one of my own. I was bombarded yesterday by the family blaming everything on being raised a JW. I worked so hard to be a loving mom and be lenient in every way including higher education. What a waste of my life.
