They already have, but in thier own special way- WINK WINK

much like College-- the wt never said not to go to college, but as my old District Overseer use to say

WHAT WAY IS THE SOCIETY LEANING

so the same with the wt do a search on ALL THE INTERNET articles esp the KM ones and it becomes very clear as to WHAT A MATURE CHRISTIAN should do in relation to the net

the wt has planted in the minds of jw the internet is good for only two purposes

    1 PORNO

    2. APOSTATES-

IF A JW is at a gathering and say "I was up on the net reading so and so" many of the jw will give him that look of WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP THERE - only folks looking for apostate and porno material up thier

so like college no one who uses it will be openly discussing ALL THE WONDERFUL things the net can do-

as for the wt own web site think about this in the last 5 yrs there are only about 2 times that the wt has actually given out thier web addresss in the publications

and if i am not mistaken both times were in the KM-

so here we have an organization that proclaims they are interested in getting the goodnews preached and yet their website has no search engine for researching their library of over a billions pc of literature- you can't get their latest magazine ONLINE even CNN updates it's site every 2-3min

and NOWHERE DO THEY PUT THIER WEB ADDRESS IN THE WT AND AWAKE MAG

SO WT HAS accomplished thier goal without firing a shot as it were

    Here are a few quotes:

    June 2001 Kingdom Ministry p 5

Internet pornography, improper conduct with the opposite sex, debasing music, degrading entertainment, and underage drinking are just some of the snares that Satan uses to prevent our youth from reaching spiritual goals.

    4/8/00 Awake p

    11
For example, Satan’s influence is seen in many modern means of communication: videos, movies, television, the Internet, advertising, books, magazines, and newspapers.

1/22/00 Awake p. 19 How Can I Avoid Dangers on the Internet?

Because countless Web sites contain material that is morally corrupt and spiritually destructive. Thus, the Internet can expose young Christians to temptation. After all, humans are naturally curious—a tendency that Satan the Devil has long exploited. Satan certainly took advantage of Eve’s curiosity and ‘seduced her by his cunning.’—2 Corinthians 11:3.

    November 1999 Kingdom Ministry

    p. 6 Use of the Internet—Be Alert to the Dangers!
If misused, the Internet can be a means by which Satan overreaches those who are seduced by its power. Although it may have limited usefulness, there is danger if it is not viewed with caution.

And the Watchtower website is mentioned at these places in the publications. It is amazing how many JWs deny the WTS has a website when it is pointed out to them.

    1/8/98 Awake

Extreme caution is necessary when the Internet is used, and certainly parents should closely supervise any of their children who may be using it. It is true that there are many useful sources to be found, such as research libraries, bookstores, and news channels. For example, the Watchtower Society recently announced its own Web site (http://www.watchtower.org), which serves to give factual information about Jehovah’s Witnesses. Still, one has to recognize that there are some extremely harmful influences out there, including pornography and apostasy.

    November 1999 Kingdom Ministry

    pp. 4-5
Commenting on whether there is a need for our brothers to create such Web sites, Our Kingdom Ministry, November 1997, page 3, stated: "There is no need for any individual to prepare Internet pages about Jehovah’s Witnesses, our activities, or our beliefs. Our official site [www.watchtower.org] presents accurate information for any who want it."

    November 1997 Kingdom Ministry

    p. 3
Our Internet Web site has the address http://www.watchtower.org and contains a selection of tracts, brochures, and Watchtower and Awake! articles in English, Chinese (Simplified), German, Russian, and Spanish, as well as in other languages

Although our site has no provision for electronic messages (E-mail), it lists postal addresses of branches around the globe. Thus people can write to obtain more information or to receive personal assistance from Witnesses locally. Feel free to share the above Internet address with any who might be inclined to begin learning Bible truth from this format.
