ThiChi: I think your copy & posting is excessive and I think you are the worst offender (sorry). Seriously, I have had problems where people have complained about their content being copied and not credited and it does chew up storage and bandwidth more. It goes for everyone - if you want to quote lengthy articles it's better to post a link or embed the page as it also give people the chance to see the source.
I guess I've missed your thread's on the UK's policy. But can I ask you an honest question? If on several occasion I started threads that had a negative air to them about the UK, would you be as understanding? Honestly.
Yes, I would. See the link that ThiChi posted above.
I am more than likely to agree with you and I think most UKers would. Ironically, this is the reason that we don't get so many topics targetted at us ... we don't over-respond.
The fact is I do not hat ethe USA or Americans (Why the US is great despite Bush!) and it annoys me if people try to make out that I do. I have many good friends who are American and I have visited the country several times.
Some of the comments are defensive for no reason. Re-read the first post ... it was not an attack on you or your country. It was just telling you how people in other countries viewed America. Perhaps, knowing what they are thinking, it would be better to consider why?
Why do people think we are more of a threat than AlQueida for instance? and so on ...
Doing this may lead to more understanding on all sides which has to be good.
