1 Cor 13:5:"Keep testing whether you are in the faith; keep proving what you yourselves are. Or do you not recognize that Jesus Christ is in union with you? Unless you are disapproved."

How can we do that? By ‘testing whether we are in the faith.’ To do that, we do well to ask ourselves: ‘Do I really believe that I am part of the only organization that Jehovah has approved to accomplish his will? Am I doing my utmost to preach and teach the good news of the Kingdom? Do my actions show that I truly believe that these are the last days and that the end of Satan’s rule is near? Do I have the same confidence in Jehovah and Jesus now that I had when I dedicated my life to Jehovah God?’ (Matt. 24:14; 2 Tim. 3:1; Heb. 3:14) Pondering the answers to such questions will help us to keep proving what we ourselves are

    REALLY???

Why don't they read the whole verse ? If you have Jesus inside you are in the faith!!!

I notice that that their version of testing the faith isn't actually about real testing or researching if the corporation is telling the truth. Somehow they make it mean 'DO MORE'. They have removed Jesus from their corporation totally.

    Pathetic leeches.

"Am I doing my utmost to preach and teach the good news of the Kingdom?"

By standing motionless & speechless at a trolley which advertises a web site??? OK!

This is unbelievable. The very definition of "testing" is to undergo an investigation of the subject at hand in order to establish its quality and reliability. Synonyms for "testing" are words like "scrutinizing" and "assessing" - NOT "believing" as Watchtower has so insidiously switched over to in their reinforced rhetorical questions.

"Belive" is, if anything, the antithesis of the word "test":

Once again, there's what the scripture ACTUALLY says, versus what Watchtower tells its members it says. Shameful, and a total indicator of how conditioned JW readers are, because I'm willing to bet left nut that no one in the audience saw this jarring contradiction.

Isn't the question really more like, "do I, personally, really believe?" Not so much, "is this really the true religion?"

It seems that the GB is aware of the huge presence of PIMO's in the organization. That would affect contributions!

(also, are you sure that this is from today's WT?)

To do that, we do well to ask ourselves: ‘Do I really believe that I am part of the only organization that Jehovah has approved to accomplish his will?

Many people within the organization are waking up to the fact that Jehovah and Jesus could never possibly be guiding or supporting a commercialized false prophet(s).

1 John 4:1 New King James Version (NKJV)

4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

So, the very Scriptures that were once used to instil a scrutiny of one's religious beliefs, are now used to urge self-scrutiny. And the Witnesses swallow it.

I noticed that par 4 was classic F.O.G.

Fear of being killed at the Big A. Obligation because meetings were so "important". And guilt because Jehovah and Jesus see you not making the meeting unless it is physically or circumstantially IMPOSSIBLE.

Jwdoctrine, you're right. It was today's WT study. Sorry I ever doubted you!

I think the Slave is trying to crank up the pressure to boost attendance at the Memorial so that they will have statistics to brag about.
