I've now placed her in a nursing home for the time being, as she requires much assistance. But during this time, very few have bothered dropping by to see her or even giving a phone call.
JW's don't have the exclusive on that I'm afraid. My Dad has been in the hospital and rehab center for a week, and the only ones to visit him are me. The first day, my brother and 3 of my cousins were there but since that day, everyone has stayed away.
I know people are busy, and don't know what to say to him, but he loves the short visits and knowing people care about him.
I'm glad you told your Mom and that she responded the way she did. Good for you.
