Headsets range in price from $1.99 to hundreds of dollars. Remember the old adage, "You get what you pay for!" though. As a suggestion, the Google Cardboard for $15.00, or two for $25.00 with free shipping is a good headset to start off with. (No, I don’t own Google stock!)

I can only recommend that our community not put off buying a headset, maybe a very cheap one, if you have a smart phone, just in case there is a story or stories coming out using VR technology that you might be interested in. That's all I can say right now. (A cryptic message, I know!)

I remember Ray Kurzweil predicting that we would all use a Internet glasses by now. That didn't happen - yet. Is that like this?

We don't have a smart phone. We just have a run of the mill dumb phone. It has a camera on it but we have never used it. The news is bad enough I don't think I need to watch it with a VR. Plain old TV is just fine. I know this is against all those who like this kind of stuff but I would rather be outside in my garden. Sorry I will not be getting one any time soon. Although I stand by my suggestion that those who have a smart phone invest in a VR headset, I just knew when I started this thread the posts would be interesting and it's turning out that way. I also had a feeling that certain posters would have a lot of fun with the subject and I'm certainly not disappointed.
