The mind is a powerful thing. It has been proven that the attitude, Positive or negative, affects the outcome of illness.
The body can break down, with heart problems for example, created due to stress, anxiety, anger, all Mental states.
I believe the Bible is speaking of the physical, and also using the mental to help heal.
