Of ALL the names that WT/JW..org writers could come up with, why would they use the name Rose, in this context?
In the movie "Citizen Kane", the writer has the male lead playing a fictional William Randolph Hearst. In it, he has this character use the word "Rose Bud" as his pet name for his mistress, Marion Davies.
Inquiring minds wanted to know? What does Rose Bud mean???

I always thought male homosexuality would be more prevalent amongst JWs, historically and now.
It's probably not a real story. I think half of them are made up. I remember seeing a video on YouTube and the ex JW brother was talking about how the whole 'swimming across crocodile rivers to get to meetings' was a complete exaggeration as apparently most of the villagers had to swim across the river anyway.
Guess there must be a lesbian problem the way they keep going on about it! After all, according to Sam Herd if we have a 'I think I'm just as good as a man' thought in our heads us women are homosexual anyway. (see my previous thread)
I don't think for one moment any of their stories are real. But, they do seem to be particularly picking on lesbians.
Yes. They certainly are focussing more on Lesbian relationships recently.
There was the Cartoon with Sophia and her school friend who had "two mummies"
Then there was the Lot video at the convention.
There was also an outline for the Circuit overseer's visit a few years back that spoke of "pornography with lesbian content"
Seems like the GB writers have a little fixation issue going on.... (perhaps some writers are attempting to divert attention from themselves?)

Sam Herd is definitely obsessed with lesbians.
I remember once about 15 years ago at an elders’ school Sam Herd went on-and-on about lesbians. He just kept ranting for about 1/2 an hour. It was completely off-topic and very bizarre. A friend of mine that was also there (and who coincidentally has also left the organization) talked about it with me afterwards. We were both like, “WTF was THAT all about!”
While I understand labeling this kind of propaganda as “homophobic,” I actually think it’s more accurate to say the GB are obsessed with the subject because they are afraid of their own sexuality. I don’t know if there’s a specific psychological term for this other than sexually repressed. Steve2, any comments?

I have known lesbians who were loving wonderful citizens as I have known women not lesbians who were not.
I have also known of terrible things done to little girls by criminal fathers that would ever preclude them from ever having a hetero relationship.
