  Just because God created man with beards doesn't make it right for men to wear beards.

  Hi there truthexplorer. Maybe we were at the same assembly because I noticed the same thing. I heard a rumor that in one cong in our circuit 4 brothers wear beards and are "used", none are elders though. Apparently, all 4 got notes from their doctors about an extreme skin condition being aggravated by shaving. And they gave the notes to the elders. The elders then gave a local needs talk on not shunning those in the hall who wear beards due to a medical condition. Evidently, the talk had to be given because there was such a rukus about it in that cong as well neighboring congs. Hilarious! Grown men have to get a doctors note to give the elders regarding facial hair....?

  In my cong 3 MS bearded. 2 with 3-day-beard, one with a real beard, something like the picture 1 from Finkelstein. No problem, no talk by the elders or so. The full bearded guy also pray for the cong. So beard is no way to step down.

  I often wear a scruff just high enough to be seen, and get a long stare, but not enough to be 'spoken to' about it yet.

  I too am interesting on where this was. I have yet to see any beards at my assemblies or conventions in the midwest USA. Ive heard that some locations, specifically Northern Europe, are a little more tolerant.
