So will Armageddon be the biblical one we read about or is it probably going to be a government ban on Christians that we will perceive as Armageddon? -

Um Jayk, why do you think Armageddon, in any form, is inevitable?
There are risks. There's a possibility of Nuclear Armageddon. That was a very low risk, but is perhaps increasing slightly with the actions of Trump and North Korea.
The chance of governments turning on Christianity I would say is about close to nil. Why would they? Unless the whole of humanity turned on Christianity then the governments would have to turn on their own populace. The same people that vote them into power...
The biblical Armageddon has zero chance. I mean, come on! It's 2,000 year old gore-porn. Complete fantasy.

Hi,
I'll bite..so this is how it goes..Rev. 6:And I saw when the Lamb+ opened one of the seven seals,+ and I heard one of the four living creatures+ say with a voice like thunder: “Come!” 2 And I saw, and look! a white horse,+ and the one seated on it had a bow; and a crown was given him,+ and he went out conquering and to complete his conquest.+ 3 When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature+ say: & so on...now according to the WT...the Lamb is the same one as on the White horse...so how could he open the seals come out then open up another seal...
Nobody knows how this is going to play out...we are all so intelligent and read so much into simple scriptures...I have thought of so many scenarios but nothing comes to mind...I know now the world is in Kaos...but nothing new..ain't that what Solomon said..nothing new under the sun..
We shall see or we will be gone and won't see but maybe wake up to lions and tigers and bears...Oh My...

Amazingly, Armageddon is only used once in the Bible and the whole JW world revolves around it. What a fantastic spin and fear mongering by WT

There was supposed to have been a significant war at the plain of Megiddo. For the locals it became a byword for a decisive war. Later religiously minded writers used the war at Megiddo as a picture of final conflict between good and evil. This was purely a religious vision not based in fact or reason.
Not a million miles away (2450 miles actually!) from Megiddo in Northern India sits another battlefield in a region called Kurukshetra, the site of the greatest battle in the Mahabharata. To Hindus this much older epic war carries the same meaning as Armageddon did to the inhabitants of Canaan-- but stories are not prophetic and there is no reason to believe in a big showdown between good and evil.
The whole belief thing is rooted in imagination and human yearnings for something better..

Eistien said "I know nothing of the weapons of ww3 but ww4 will be faught with sticks and stones". The world has always had its ups and downs. Just trying to make sense of things. Id imagine getting to over populated and a food shortage happens. Not really Armageddon, over population isn't a issue yet but food shortage is. The idea I guess isn't elaborated on just there will be in Armageddon a new system. -

When you first leave the jobos, a lot of their propaganda stays in the head for a while.
However, in your question, you only have 2 options there. What about multiple options?
The bible is make belief. All made up nonsense by people. Put together as a book by people.
The JW interpretation of 'armageddon(tm)' is even more made up than the Bible.
Don't worry yourself. Life will take whatever inevitable course it must. We can do nothing about it.
Enjoy life now and throw away religion.

Answer = neither the bible mythology of Armageddon is fictional story telling
and no governments are not going to ban religion particularly in the US right where the UN is situated and where the JWS is Head Quartered.
Think how much Christianity is established in Europe, North America, South America and in the Middle East (Islam)
Stop reading the WTS's literature its full of fear mongering bullshit that exploits people ignorance.

Although I don't believe the prophecies in the bible are true, in Daniel and in Revelation, it is true religion that is attacked first.
Daniel says "truth is thrown to the ground - dashing of the power of the holy ones to pieces etc" these holy ones are the "two witnesses" that are in Revelation 11:7. When they are killed, who is looking at them? Nations of all people. If you were to ask anyone (even witnesses) what outstanding things happened in the 19th century, this event would never be mentioned. Such an amazing event according to the bible, that it is supposed to be a big witness before the end - and no one knows about it.....WT says that happened in 1916-1919 when they got thrown in jail. Except if you look at Rev. 11:7 it's the beast that ascends out the abyss that attacks them. And what is the only beast that ascends out of an abyss? The United Nations that was reactivated long time after 1919 according to WT.
They know they have it wrong but can't do anything about it but hopes no one notices or has time to research it. So don't bother about Armaggedon according to WT or the Bible for that matter.
