Thanks, Nancy Drew:
I'll take pizza, in any way, shape, form . . .
Coco thanks for sharing. I love your writing. When I read your words, the first thing I thought of was awaking to TTATT and sometimes wishing I was still asleep. Seeing the real truth can be brutal most like a living nightmare, realizing that your whole life was a lie.
But you were probably being literal?
What a great time to be awake
when my soul could be sleeping yet I'm no fake
when others slumber I get my peace
I make apostate videos that bring me ease
With no one to know who I really am
I make these videos and boom boom bam!
Thank you, MissFit, for your thoughts -- they are right on point.
Some is literal, some symbolic. Life can be a nightmare as we stumble along, awake, but wishing for the escape of sleep. Yet, during slumber, daytime realities seep into our "sweet" sleep, distorted and phantom-like. Please, please . . . let me wake up!
Then, our eyes open, we awaken to the good, bad, ugly. From our former faith? In large measure, yes.
Actually, what you wrote was great; my doodles here are superfluous.
Best Wishes.
Coco,
I know what you mean about realities seeping into your slumber.
Sometimes my dreams feel so real , when I wake up I have to reorient myself. Or I have to stop a think if it really happened or was it a dream?
Have you ever had a dream within a dream? Where you dream and wake up only to discover you are still dreaming?
PS . I love how you express yourself and make people think.

Your wit shines like a beacon through your well-chosen verse. Please, write more!
MissFit:
Oh, yes! A dream within a dream! So real, I believe that I'm "there"! Although in exaggerated surroundings, my recurring dreams center around my time pioneering in the Midwest (USA) and that attending conventions. Frequently, I am lost in a parking lot, on a street. The settings are surreal (as mentioned, "exaggerated") and waking up from the dream -- whether or not within another dream -- is often a letdown, while I adjust uneasily to the unpredictability of another day.
Not much control over our dreams, right?
I appreciate your comments on my writing!
Coco,
I used to dream about giving a talk or being on a part at a convention. I would either be naked or suddenly forget everythING I was going to say.
IT would take me a moment after I woke up to realize it was as dream.
Oh the horror.
There once was a weevil from dreamland
whose poems at the kingdom hall were banned
he continued to write
in the dead of the night
in the morning their brains had all been spammed
Dear Nancy Drew:
It is SO good to see you back and writing again!
Love to you and yours.
