No, that's not correct. Pompey manager Harry Rednapp picked up several good players for free who's contracts with their old clubs had come to an end. Paul Merson, obviously, then Shaka Hislop, the goal-keeper. I know Todorov was bought for £750,000, but I think that he was the most expensive.
I know they're intending to spend between £5M and £10M this season, but that's money spent after we'd won the Championship.
