Watchtower apologizing? NEVER!
What if the WT has already destroyed all the files and evidence on Child Abuse, and they just cannot provide the information because they have already destroyed it. What would be the implications for the WT?
"We have always maintained that this is a time for apologies, not appeals.”
Watchtower apologizing? NEVER! - Watchtower probably meant that the victim should apologise for taking the matter to court.
I always wonder in these situations what really prevents an organization from modifying the records during these periods of tug war.
I mean the Org could probably just edit and delete anything they want and then at the end just say "ok here are the records we have".
In my mind, i always have this picture of law enforcement walking in an office for an organization and seizing all records needed without warning. To me this is what always makes the most sense.
Memed
I understand there are penal sentences if records are destroyed in the midst of an ongoing enquiry. I think there are some higher ups with history as abusers, either that or there are shocking numbers. Why else would watchtower fight so hard in USA and Uk to conceal the records?
The Royal Commission in Australia, the Charity Commission in the UK, and lawsuit after lawsuit in the US and Canada...
...it is a Tribulation... and it is Great.
No wonder the Org is producing videos of SWAT teams storming JW bunkers... ten bucks says they expect the loyal R&F to get rounded up and sent to FEMA camps while the leadership buggers off to the Caymans.
Hey, FBI! Don't let 'em!
One thing's for certain...
...at the very least, nothing about this is making the WTS look good.
I'm genuinely puzzled by their legal tactics in this case. It seems perfectly designed to maximise damage.
What on earth are they hoping to achieve? Now they have seriously annoyed the CC who have the power to hurt them. Why did they not welcome them and give them complete cooperation?
Is it just arrogance or is it possible that they know they are sitting on a problem of such proportions that it will destroy them?

Me too. Puzzled
So much of this doesn't make sense
I will add questions:
Do they have the backing of entities who have a mutual interest in keeping child abuse secret and enclosed within the power of an institution? Are there larger interests being served? How deep do the pockets go and why?
