Today I went up into my loft (and that itself is a less traveled road), after moving the cobwebs and several unidentified spiders

Erm, does this mean Brummie might just appear on Antiques Roadshow?

Brummie, I read both his books and it is a good read. What I got out of it was, the answers to your questions/problems are within your grasp, you just need to reach out and take hold of it. We need to think for ourselves. By the way, there is another writer by the same name.

That's coincidental, I bought 'The road Less Travelled' just last week this is the revised 1997. 2003 edition.

I have not yet read it all but it's an excellent read and Peck writes some interesting things which I in the main except.

I have read Albert Elliss (Robert A Harper), 'A Guide to Rational Living' on REBT (Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy) this is a must for all who have suffered stress or depression (who hasn't?). I wish this stuff was taught to children, it really does help humans' crasp the way the human mind works; it shows how we upset ourselves through our faulty beliefs (Should(s) Must(s) and Ought(s)). I have decided I will now live a life based on REBT, suggesting that other do the same.

Of course you all have the power to live a life you choose, but why not live a life that is a happy one, a life in which we don't unnecessary torment ourselves?

Thanks for all your comments. Yesterday I thought I may as well just throw it away, who needs this stuff anyway. After reading your comments I'm going to make a start on reading it, sounds good.

Lol @ Dansk, no way, they might mistake me for an antique.
