All I have to say about that is that I agree with the following quote attributed to Marcus Aurelius:

Always remember that The Universal Architect and Creator of All Things is an emotional being with feelings as delicate as a May-fly, and will pitch one Hell of a Shit-Fit if you don't think of Him constantly!

I had to warn you my friend.

It's sad to see those same people that welcomed you with open arms turn on you in a heartbeat simply because of your beliefs.

If you're open minded and would like to see how a Chicago Tribune investigative journalist went on a hunt to find proof that God was myth and ended up becoming a Christian be sure to read Lee Strobel's book The Case For Faith. Excellent read and he gives his interviewees no leeway as he goes through his investigation.

This guy was an atheist and ended up becoming an ardent defender of the faith. Very good read.

The ideas quoted sound reasonable to me and to add to it I'd say that if the God of the Bible does exist, surely he must know how confusing and or unclear his message to mankind was written in places and he would likely be forgiving to anyone who did their best to live a "good life" even though they didn't belong to a certain religion who claimed to be his one and only chosen group.

I consider myself an atheist but if people on here want to worship a God i`m not going to judge them thats there prerogative.

And apparently their are about 40000 different Christian Gods you can choose from

Well those members of the 40,000 that are worshipping Jesus Christ I can have fellowship with.

I like that quote. Be the best you can be no matter what.

I see that you got smart... and left.

He should have had a chat with me. I could have saved him some time.

To be fair nobody can prove there is no god as long as we are vague about the meaning of 'god'. What we can prove beyond all reasonable doubt is that the god of christian theism does not exist.

Having said that, I think the standard of debate on both sides leaves a lot to be desired.

To clarify my position if anybody cares is that :

If you want to believe in a GOD that`s your business and I have no right to ridicule you for that .

If I choose not to believe in a GOD that is my business and you can ridicule me or not all you like I don`t care .

Surely all of us can express opinions one way or another without getting into personal attacks on each other .

    Just my 2 cents worth.

I hope your not put off with us here HiddenPimo with this thread we really are a great bunch of people with different views and many with a wealth of information ,so please stick around .

its not whether you believe in god--or not.

its whether your chosen god believes in you that counts.
