happyout, I can appreciate how you feel when someone says that. That's not a good thing to say at all when someone loses a loved one. Some people just don't think before they speak.

I have to go with yours, happyout, "everything happens for a reason". I dated a woman for a short while who was going thru a messy divorce, with alot of uncertainty in her life. I had to bite my tongue everytime she would say it (have to be soooo careful around peoples spirituality). Then she used it once to reason why we weren't able to get together for a planned date. lol, that was it for me, if God and all the cosmic forces are against me, I have to just give up.

That "Everything happens for a reason" is such an annoying statment. And god knows why people use it all the time .. So if theres a reason behind it then why don't you work it out and give it some credability instead of being a braindead f*ck knuckle.

How naive. Think about it. Imagine a life with no money and imagine a life with plenty of money. Which is easier and happier to live in?
