I've been talking to a few witnesses who were at the assembly this weekend, and apparently there were loads of apostates there! Any body from here go? I was told about silent lambs, and some others who were giving out leaflets. Security was meant to have been tighter than ever, even people with badges were being challanged if they didn't like the look of you. There was an xjw there with her family who are still witnesses, she was challanged by an attendant and given a bit of hassel so she hit him! Wish I could have seen that....

They must have seen the BBC Panorama programme where they were there with a camera and microphone as Jarasc got off because I heard the security around the platform was very tight ... brothers on every corner etc ...

They are always a bit paranoid but they really seem to be battening down the hatches. Not exactly 'welcoming' to sheep like ones are they ! Not just from what they do but also what they say on the platform of course.

And hey, we got a mention ! They warned people about internet sites that had names designed to fool the unwary.

I wish I'd have been there myself. There were a few things they said about events I know that I would liked to have shouted something out.

So what would they have done if something similar happended at manchester? I can imagine what effect 15,000 people watching security wrap some up would have on moral

So the security team is made up of brothers??? With terroristic threats in large venues these days the attendees are leaving their safety in the hands of brothers with no training?

What's the attendance at this assembly these days??

Last one I went to in 1993 had about 17,000 on the Sunday afternoon.

Physio and I went shopping on Saturday morning at around 11.00 a.m. and spotted two JWs in the supermarket and another at her home. Erm, aren't they supposed to go for the whole three days!

Dansk - who's just had the most relaxing Friday-Sunday in 19 years!

Devon, I suspect they were only worried about apostates, not terrorists. Apparently we are more dangerous than those willing to blow up people !!! After all we do present some dangerous truths. Bug

Maybe they were talking about the Watchtower's official site.

But wasn't it only 4 or so years ago the Manchester assembly had a bomb scare and had to be evacuated? By the time they got everyone out I believe they decided it wasn't worth starting again and called it off for the day.
