Ah thanks, Logansrun, you must have posted while I was scanning my book. I must've seen that list though from one of my friends who went to the PSS a long time ago!

simplesally,
Yep. I don't have a copy either. Wen't to pioneer school in '95. My sister has the older book and I've seen that list in her copy. Too bad she doesn't speak to me anymore or else I'd ask her for the page number.

It's all DUPLICITY hypocritical double-dealing! If you have read the last ten years of the watchtower magazines, you will know what is in the new-duplicate book.
So the old pioneer book is the new pioneer book,no matter how they try to dress it up.

For simplesally and logansrun:
The list of possible secular employments was on pages 150-151 in the 1977 version. In the new version, units 13(c) and 16(b) ("Problems You Face as a Pioneer", parts 1 and 2) were collated into unit 16(b) in the 1989 version. The list of secular employments was eliminated.

Hey! In any of the old pioneer books or letters, does anyone remember a suggestion of raising pedigreed dogs or cats for money?? I read that somewhere (can't remember where now!) and it really irked me...I grew up in "Puppy Mill" Kansas...

Looks like they finally came up with some worthwhile "New Light".
